Mar. 31, 1918. America lost an hour when it suddenly became 3:00 A.M. Clocks across the continent were set forward one hour in a government move to "save daylight." In 1966 the U.S. Congress provided that daylight saving time would begin the last Sunday in April and that clocks would return to standard time on the following "last Sunday in October." | ||
