1. Shmuel Yosef Agnon (1888-1970), Israeli author awarded the Nobel Prize in literature in 1966.

2. Shalom Aleichem (1859-1916), Yiddish humorist who emigrated from Russia to the U.S. in 1906.

3. Levi Eshkol (1895-1969), Israeli prime minister from 1963 to 1969.

4. Harry Houdini (1874-1926), U.S. magician.

5. Erich Segal (1937- ), U.S. novelist.

6. Isaac Bashevis Singer (1904- ), U.S. writer awarded the Nobel Prize in literature in 1978.

7. Stephen S. Wise (1874-1949), U.S. rabbi who founded the Free Synagogue in New York City and led the American Jewish Congress at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919.
