About the predictions both right and wrong of modern scientist Harry Gray including chemistry related ones about hydrogen and nitrogen.PREDICTIONS BY MODERN SCIENTISTS
Predictor: HARRY GRAY
Winner of many awards for his scientific research, Dr. Gray is a professor of chemistry at the California Institute of Technology. Past Predictions: No record.
Future Predictions: For 1990
* It will be possible to combine nitrogen from the air with hydrogen under mild conditions to give ammonia for fertilizer.
For 2010--The energy-rich hydrogen molecule will be generated directly from water and sunlight. The hydrogen obtained from sunlight and water will be used as a fuel in many applications. It will also be combined with carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide to produce liquid hydrocarbon fuels and alcohols, and with nitrogen to give ammonia and hydrazine (a component of rocket and jet engine fuels). | ||
