Astrological View: Astrologers associate Jupiter with knowledge, advanced studies, a philosophical outlook, and languages; with the liver and pituitary gland, and with "good fortune." For the devotee of astrology, the positive Jovian traits of an individual include optimism, generosity, loyalty, and joviality; a breadth of vision, a flair for languages, and adroitness in sports. The negative traits include self-indulgence, extravagance, wastefulness, and conceit. In zodiacal terms, Jupiter rules Sagittarius and, by tradition, Pisces.
