Famous Last Will and Testament Magician Harry HoudiniAbout the last will and testament of famous American magician Harry Houdini.WHERE THERE'S A WILL
HARRY HOUDINI, U.S. magician, died 1926
Last Will: His biggest professional escape secrets died with him, but his brother Theodore (a magician billed as Hardeen) received his stage effects and equipment. He gave two assistants $500 each. The Society of American Magicians, which he served as its "Most Illustrious President," received $1,000--as did the Machpelah Cemetery in Brooklyn, where he desired burial in a vault like that of his "beloved mother." To the Library of Congress went his books on magic and the occult arts, and his widow inherited the balance of his estate. His "hat" rabbits went to the children of friends. | ||
