Total value of the estate was never made public. Ruth stipulated that 10% of the remainder, after Claire's death, was to go to the Babe Ruth Foundation. "Dedicated to the interests of the kids of America," the foundation had been established by Ruth to award merit prizes and scholarships. His two adopted daughters were to share the balance.
