Science Fiction History: 1900 Honeymoon in SpaceSponsored Links
About the 1900 sci-fi novel Honeymoon in Space by George Griffith.--1900. A Honeymoon in Space, by George Griffith (pseud. for G. C. G. Jones) told about Lord Redgrave and his space yacht Astronef, which worked on the R-force principle. This broke gravitation up (or down) into positive and negative, just like electricity. A demonstration by the Astronef on earth frightened nations on the verge of war into keeping the peace; after which, Lord and Lady Redgrave left the earth in it, and for their honeymoon visited the moon, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Callisto, Ganymede, and Saturn--certainly more interesting than Niagara Falls. | ||
