The Record Human Cannonball. "The record distance for firing a human from a cannon is 175' in the case of Emanuel Zacchini in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1940. His muzzle velocity was 145 mph. On his retirement the management was fortunate in finding that his daughter-in-law, Florinda, was of the same caliber."
