Clover

Mostly cultivated as food for livestock, clover grows in the North Temperate Zone and is also found in South Africa and South America. The seed heads range in color from white through pink and red to purple, white being the most nutritious as a forage crop. Clover is high in protein, phosphorus, and calcium in either the fresh or dry stage. For human use, the seeds can be sprouted or used as a tea.
