Widely grown in China and cultivated throughout the subtropics as well as Southern California and Florida. The Chinese use them as a candied fruit. They are eaten fresh (the skin is also edible), preserved, or made into jams. Branches are used as Christmas decorations. Kumquats are rich in vitamin A.
