1792-1750 B.C. HAMMURABI WRITES HIS CODE OF LAWS

The 6th and best-known King of the 1st Amorite Dynasty of Babylon, Hammurabi gained immortality by introducing a legal code of 282 case laws. These laws dealt with matters such as commerce, marriage, theft, slavery, debts.
