1250 B.C. EXODUS FROM EGYPT AND 10 COMMANDMENTS

Moses led 600,000 enslaved Hebrews out of Egypt--through the Red Sea, which parted for them--to safety. Climbing Mount Sinai, Moses received the 10 Commandments from God. The 1st was, "You shall have no other gods before me." The 10th was, "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife...."
