She Sees without Eyes. "For the past 8 years a Russian woman named Rosa Kuleshova has been giving demonstrations of eyeless sight at the Moscow Academy of Science. She is blindfolded by a lab assistant. Onlookers like myself check the bandages. Then, holding her 3rd and 4th right-hand fingers above the paper, she proceeds to read out whatever is placed before her; fluently and without hesitation. This phenomenon is called 'dermo-optics' but to date no one--not even Rosa herself--has been able to fathom the physiological process involved."
